The Czech Army has commenced winter testing of its newly acquired CV9030CZ Mk IV infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) in Sweden, aiming to evaluate its performance in extreme cold, deep snow, and icy terrain. These trials are part of a broader military modernization program to replace outdated Soviet-era armored vehicles with 246 advanced CV90-based tracked vehicles. Soldiers from the 7th Mechanized Brigade are actively involved in testing to ensure the platform meets tactical and technical requirements, particularly in harsh Nordic conditions that simulate real battlefield environments. The CV9030CZ Mk IV, developed by BAE Systems Hägglunds, represents the latest and most advanced variant tailored for the Czech Republic.
