Valued at approximately $190 million post-money, the round included participation from over 30 employees and early Zomato backers. Temple aims to develop a high-performance wearable device designed specifically for elite athletes, featuring a sensor that continuously monitors cerebral blood flow from the wearer’s temple—offering metrics that current wearables like Whoop, Oura, and Garmin do not provide. The startup is aggressively hiring experts in embedded systems, computational neuroscience, and brain–computer interface engineering to build this next-generation device.
This move marks a significant pivot for Goyal following his departure from Zomato’s leadership in January after nearly two decades.
