Amazon has introduced Rivian’s electric delivery vans (EDVs) to Canada for the first time, deploying 50 vehicles in the Vancouver area. This marks a significant step in Amazon’s commitment to decarbonizing its transportation fleet as part of its goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. Amazon plans to have 100,000 Rivian EDVs on the road by 2030 and currently operates over 35,000 globally, which have delivered more than 1.5 billion packages.
