Apple is reportedly accelerating the development of three AI-powered wearable devices to remain competitive in the growing AI wearables market. These include an AirTag-sized AI pendant with cameras that can be pinned to clothing, AI-enhanced smart glasses featuring a high-resolution camera, and AirPods with new AI capabilities. All devices are designed to integrate closely with the iPhone and will prominently feature Siri as a core part of the user experience. The smart glasses, described as the most upscale and feature-rich among the three, are targeted for production to begin as early as December 2026, with a potential public release in 2027. This move positions Apple against competitors like Meta and Snap, who are also developing AI-powered smart glasses.
