Read original articleApple has introduced an updated version of its AirTag, featuring a longer Bluetooth range, a louder speaker, and enhanced Precision Finding capabilities powered by the second-generation Ultra Wideband chip. This chip, also used in the latest iPhone 17, Apple Watch Series 11, and Apple Watch Ultra 3, allows the AirTag to provide haptic, visual, and audio feedback to help users locate lost items up to 50% farther than the previous generation. The speaker is now 50% louder, enabling the beep to be heard from twice the previous distance. Additionally, Precision Finding is now accessible via Apple Watch Series 9 or later and Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later.
The new AirTag also integrates with the iOS Share Item Location feature, allowing users to temporarily share their AirTag’s location with others.
