This contradiction highlights widespread hesitation, with many Americans adopting AI out of necessity rather than confidence in its reliability. The survey also found that excitement about AI is minimal, with only 6% “very excited” and 62% expressing little to no excitement, while 80% are concerned about AI’s impact, particularly Millennials, Baby Boomers, and Gen Z.
