The Pittsburgh-based company has also logged 250,000 miles of driverless travel across multiple routes in the southern US, demonstrating the reliability and efficiency of its autonomous freight technology. Unlike human drivers, who face federal restrictions limiting them to 11 hours of driving with mandatory breaks, Aurora’s trucks can operate continuously, cutting transit times roughly in half and reducing costs for clients such as Uber Freight, FedEx, Werner, Schneider, and Hirschbach.
Financially, Aurora began generating revenue in April 2025 and reported $4 million in adjusted revenue for the year, though it incurred a net loss of $816 million due to ongoing investments in scaling operations.
