Canadian startup GreenPower Motor Company, founded in 2010 and based in Vancouver with facilities in California and West Virginia, is gaining traction in the electric vehicle (EV) market by focusing on electric trucks, buses, and vans. Despite a slow start—with its first order for the EV350 bus arriving only in 2017—the company has steadily expanded its product lineup to include multiple electric bus models (EV250, EV350, EV500, EV550), the BEAST series of school buses, and the versatile EV Star cab-and-chassis platform designed for customization across various vehicle types. GreenPower emphasizes its purpose-built, class 4 battery-electric cab and chassis as a flexible foundation for different vocational vehicles.
