Chinese robotics company XGSynBot has introduced the Z1 humanoid robot, designed as a versatile "blue-collar worker" for factory environments. Unveiled at the company’s 2026 dual launch event in Silicon Valley and Beijing, the Z1 features the world’s first Modular-End-Effector Quick Change System, allowing it to switch tools such as grippers, welders, or suction cups in under six seconds. This adaptability enables the robot to perform multiple tasks across different workstations, reducing the need for specialized single-purpose robots. The Z1’s integrated motors, reducers, and sensors enhance joint precision, stability, and durability, making it suitable for heavy-duty, oil-spattered industrial settings. It also employs a dual-system central brain: a Slow System for task planning and reasoning, and a Fast System operating at 100Hz for real-time motor control and reflexes, enabling it to understand complex commands and maintain stability on assembly lines.
