In a recent drag race test organized by Carwow in Abu Dhabi, Xiaomi’s electric sedan SU7 Ultra outperformed Ferrari’s hybrid supercar SF90 XX under challenging, slippery conditions caused by a desert sandstorm. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra boasts an impressive 1,526 horsepower from three electric motors and 1,305 pound-feet of torque, but weighs about 5,200 pounds. In contrast, the Ferrari SF90 XX combines a twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors for a total of roughly 1,016 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, with a significantly lighter curb weight of around 3,660 pounds. Despite Ferrari’s lighter chassis and motorsport heritage, the Xiaomi’s raw electric power and advanced traction control gave it a decisive advantage on the slick drag strip.
