These tasks include activities such as filming everyday actions (e.g., washing dishes) or recording themselves speaking other languages. The data collected from these videos and audio submissions will be used to train and evaluate both DoorDash’s internal AI models and those developed by partner companies across various sectors like retail, insurance, hospitality, and technology. Pay rates for tasks are disclosed upfront and vary based on the complexity and effort required.
In addition to the standalone app, DoorDash is integrating “Tasks” into its existing Dasher app, offering couriers opportunities like photographing restaurant dishes or hotel entrances to assist businesses and improve delivery logistics.
