In November 2024, plugin electric vehicles (EVs) dominated Norway’s auto market with a remarkable 98.4% market share, up from 94.9% the previous year. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) alone accounted for 97.6% of sales, while plugin hybrids (PHEVs) made up just 0.8%. Traditional powertrains such as diesel, petrol, and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) collectively held less than 2% of the market, reflecting a continuing shift toward full electrification.
