French startup Aerix Systems has developed an innovative omnidirectional propulsion technology that enables drones to move freely in any direction midair without needing to tilt or bank. Their AERIX T-16 platform features vectorized thrust independent of the drone’s body orientation, allowing simultaneous vertical lift, lateral translation, and rotation. This breakthrough results in drones capable of sharp, stable maneuvers with acceleration up to 3.5 G and thrust up to 3.2 kg, demonstrated in the compact AXS-µ1 drone which can reach speeds of 124 mph in under three seconds and maintain stability in winds up to 62 mph. The system’s advanced flight control and stabilization algorithms coordinate multiple thrust vectors in real time, enabling rapid, precise directional changes and sustained multidirectional motion. Beyond propulsion, Aerix’s drones incorporate an autonomous intercept system designed for real-time operation in GPS-denied or electronically contested environments. Equipped with sensor fusion, computer vision-based target recognition, and predictive tracking, these drones
