Hyundai Motor’s all-electric SUV, the IONIQ 9, has been awarded the title of World’s Best Large SUV at the 2026 Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) Awards. This recognition highlights Hyundai’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and quality in the large SUV segment. The award was decided by a panel of 84 female automotive journalists from 54 countries, who evaluated vehicles based on safety, design, performance, environmental impact, and value. The IONIQ 9 stood out among nearly 20 competitors for its advanced technology, spacious and luxurious three-row interior, and fast charging capabilities enabled by its 800-volt E-GMP platform. The IONIQ 9 is Hyundai’s flagship electric SUV, noted for its aerodynamic design, configurable seating for six or seven passengers, and smart connectivity features including AI-supported voice recognition.
