Hyundai Motor Company reported significant growth in its electrified vehicle sales in the third quarter, with global sales rising 4.8%, driven primarily by a 37% increase in electrified vehicles. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) saw an even stronger surge, growing 47% to reach 87,737 units sold worldwide. This growth outpaced plugin hybrids (PHEVs), which rose 26%, and conventional hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), which increased 32% to 158,629 sales. Although BEV sales remain below those of fossil-fueled and hybrid vehicles, they now represent 8.47% of Hyundai’s total sales and constitute more than half the volume of the company’s hybrid sales.
