Lucid Bots raises $20M to keep up with demand for its window-washing drones 

Lucid Bots, a Charlotte-based robotics startup founded in 2018 by Andrew Ashur, develops window-cleaning drones and robots designed to make traditionally dangerous and unglamorous work safer and more efficient. Unlike many robotics companies focused on demos and hype, Lucid Bots emphasizes real-world performance, selling its Sherpa drones and Lavo robot directly to cleaning companies. The company designs and manufactures its robots in the U.S. and recently raised $20 million in a Series B funding round led by Cubit Capital and Idea Fund Partners, bringing its total funding to $30 million. This capital will be used primarily to expand hiring and scale production to meet growing demand, as the company is currently overwhelmed with demo requests and manufacturing capacity constraints.
