Meta signs deals with three nuclear companies for 6-plus GW of power

Meta has signed three significant agreements to supply its data centers with over 6 gigawatts (GW) of nuclear power, partnering with a mix of established and startup nuclear companies. The deals include purchasing 2.1 GW from Vistra’s existing nuclear plants in Ohio and Pennsylvania, 1.2 GW from Oklo, a small modular reactor (SMR) startup aiming to begin power supply by 2030, and up to 2.8 GW (with additional storage capacity) from TerraPower, a Bill Gates-backed SMR company targeting 2032 for initial power delivery.
