Swiss rider Jiri Zak set a new altitude record for motorcycles by riding the Stark Varg EX electric bike to 6,721 meters (22,050 feet) on Los Ojos del Salado, the world’s highest active volcano located on the Chile-Argentina border. This climb surpasses previous vehicle altitude records on the volcano, such as those held by a Mercedes Unimog and a Porsche 911. The achievement is currently under verification by Guinness World Records, with GPS tracking and third-party data validation ensuring the climb meets official standards. The Stark Varg EX used was entirely stock, and the electric motorcycle’s performance at extreme altitude highlighted advantages over combustion engines, which lose power due to thin air. The electric bike maintained consistent torque, traction, and control in harsh conditions, demonstrating the viability of electric mobility in extreme environments. Zak’s prior experience and a dedicated support team were critical for navigating the mountain’s dangerous terrain. Stark Future’s CEO Anton Wass emphasized that the record is part of a
