This model replaces the GR010 Hybrid, which secured victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021 and 2022. The TR010 features a completely redesigned aerodynamic exterior, including integrated front wheel arches, updated headlights, redesigned sidepods, a larger rear wing, and an improved diffuser to enhance downforce and stability. These changes were made using evolution tokens permitted under Hypercar regulations, marking Toyota’s first major redesign since 2023. Despite the new bodywork, the powertrain remains the same—a twin-turbo V6 engine powering the rear wheels combined with a hybrid system on the front axle—delivering a total output capped at approximately 671 horsepower due to Balance of Performance rules.
