Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) is approaching production of its ultra-exclusive T.33 supercar, limited to just 100 units. Designed as a refined two-seat vehicle inspired by the clean, elegant sports cars of the 1960s, the T.33 emphasizes timeless aesthetics and driving perfection over aggressive modern styling. The car’s interior focuses on driver engagement and functionality, featuring machined aluminum controls, a floodlit analogue tachometer, and a minimalist layout that prioritizes tactile feedback and reduces distractions. Technically, the T.33 employs Passive Boundary Layer Control (PBLC) for aerodynamic efficiency, replacing the rear-mounted fan used in the T.50. This system improves ground-effect efficiency by 30% through specialized ducting and diffuser design, allowing for a sleek upper surface with only a discreet active spoiler. The chassis uses advanced iStream Ultralight carbon monocoque technology, combining carbon fiber panels with aluminum tubing and die-cast nodes to achieve high stiffness at low weight.
