Rivian spinoff Also will build autonomous delivery vehicles for DoorDash

Also, a micromobility startup originally incubated within Rivian and spun out last year, has partnered with DoorDash to develop autonomous delivery vehicles. DoorDash participated in Also’s $200 million Series C funding round led by Greenoaks Capital, giving the company a valuation above $1 billion and a seat on Also’s board. Also began as a project to build electric bikes and has since expanded to designing small, pedal-assist delivery vehicles capable of carrying over 400 pounds while fitting in bike lanes.
