This compact, glass-enclosed system autonomously handles the entire meal preparation process—from ingredient collection to cooking, plating, and cleaning—without human intervention. Capable of producing up to 120 meals per hour, the CA-1 offers restaurant-quality dishes priced from €6, cooked fresh on demand within minutes. The system’s AI-driven operations include real-time ingredient monitoring, adaptive stirring speeds, and self-cleaning via an integrated commercial dishwasher, all visible to customers through a transparent panel.
This installation marks the first integration of AI-powered cooking robots directly within a supermarket, positioning REWE as a pioneer in retail automation and experiential food services. The collaboration between Circus and REWE is designed to be scalable, with two additional pilot sites planned and potential applications in hospitals, universities, factories, and even military settings.
