Chinese robotics company UBTech has partnered with Siemens Digital Industries Software to accelerate the mass production of humanoid robots, targeting an annual output of 10,000 units by 2026. The strategic cooperation, formalized in Shenzhen on March 16, aims to integrate UBTech’s humanoid robotics expertise with Siemens’ industrial digitalization and smart manufacturing capabilities. This collaboration addresses the growing demand for industrial humanoid robots and the industry’s shift from prototype development to scalable production. UBTech CEO Zhou Jian emphasized the urgency of mass production due to a surge in orders, with the partnership seen as a critical step toward meeting this ambitious goal. Siemens will support UBTech by designing a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap that spans the entire product lifecycle, leveraging its industrial software tools for design, simulation, process planning, and manufacturing management. This end-to-end digitization is essential given the complexity of humanoid robots, which require precision engineering, AI integration, and advanced motion control. Additionally, Siemens will provide technical training to
