The system modifies the Allam-Fetvedt Cycle, a power cycle that combusts fuel with an oxygen and carbon dioxide mixture to enable complete carbon capture and minimal greenhouse gas emissions. By generating oxygen during off-peak hours when electricity prices are low, storing it in liquid form, and using it later during peak demand, the system boosts plant output while lowering operating costs.
